If nobody needed it,
If it wasn’t so required,
You wouldn’t have invented it,
Aggressively defended it.
You wouldn’t be this tired.

You wouldn’t be glued to a screen.
You would take the easy way out.
You wouldn’t have founded a team.
Constructed this whole scheme
To bury your self-doubt.

You, not consumer but creator,
A soul you’ve managed to invest.
The comments of the hater
Not more than a motivator
For someone like you, obsessed.

All your hours tormented.
Nothing left unreckoned.
Because of what you’ve invented,
Of what you represented,
It was worth every second.

But I don’t yet know when,
You’ll leave the universe dented.
I can only tell you once again,
The world will be different by then,
And you’ll both be reinvented.

Welcome back!
No, you didn’t accidentally subscribe to Tech Bro Poetry Weekly. I’ve not managed to be a productive writer outside of Slack or Notion. Then I read Robert Frost, talked to a founder in hard times, and there you go.
Like everything else right now, we’ll return to our regularly scheduled programming in a moment.
Any thoughts?
Just hit reply. Thanks!
